My mantra I wrote this some time ago ~

black_panther white bkgrnd~I’d rather be a searcher than a sheep. I’d rather turn and face than swing away.. I’d rather be a gypsy, outsider, carnival freak, than conform.. but I wont conform to non conformity ..either.. I’d rather be in the shining mystery than in the dullness of every day, I’d rather be the point of ridicule than a fence -sitter- fantasist- Original thought , ideas of genius, visions. A love that is all encompassing, non consuming and beyond any romantic idealism, love that is planetary, embracing all and to all sentient beings…even us, even you, even me, the universe, the multiverse is infinite, therefor we are… full of infinite possibilities….~M cblack_panther white bkgrnd

First of all thanks for visiting, I am not one of these people who is obsessive about statistics and readers, it is something I abhor, but I am always here to welcome the curious browser and the stumbler or the tentative swimmers, in the great sea of electric chaos..

So if you have come here willingly and are not  trapped in a net nor called in by a Siren. Stay a while. Just a visit, sit down and have some tea with me..

I am 48 years on this blue planet.  It seems that only now the wisdom and energy of it all  is seeping through.

I live on the west coast of Scotland, by the sea… at this point in time, so any images here tend to be of where I live….

And even though I started writing poems and prose when I was 11, it has taken me this long to get brave enough to start experimenting with them and  putting them somewhere where they will be seen and read and even cause a ripple, perhaps even a wave. BUT this blog is also something more a place for me to explore the wyld heart at the core of me and my healing journey/ journeys. It ties in with other writings elsewhere and is the source for my creativity and healing process..

As of this month ( november 2008) I am finally getting a decent  attempt at a first draft of a young adult novel, which has gone through many changes since the idea first popped into my head. You will see links to published writers I am currently reading. Most of whom seem to be American, which is not intentional it seems that the genre thrives in the USA, which is great.

I am particularly interested in the super-natural. The wildness of nature and mythology, shamanism, indigenous wisdom, black_panther white bkgrnd the Druid path, magic, nature and the wild soul, the Scottish mountains, landscape, Islands and its legends, the fey of course they protect these pages….

These are my sources for exploring and writing from as well as my sources of nourishment and joy and healing.. LOVE and WISDOM AND THE WYLD HEART as I write there is so much changing and shaping at this point in time, all to the good and also hard work on all levels.

I have  a BA hons in English literature and creative writing. I am also  a qualified early years teacher none of that really means anything though. I have Reiki healing one and two and I am  studying ,reading about herbs and herbal healing a LOT of holistic information including astrology which has always been an interest. Studying shamanism also, through self healing and healing others and through the acute , tender , challenging and beautiful  guidance  a shaman, sage friend and teacher.

I trust the spiral AND THE THIRTEENTH STEP

THE WISE WOMAN TRADITION IS A SPIRAL
By SUSUN S WEED

The symbol of the Wise Woman tradition is a spiral.
A spiral is a cycle as it moves through time.
A spiral is movement around and beyond a circle, always returning to itself, but never at exactly the same place. Spirals never repeat themselves.

The symbol of the Wise Woman tradition is the spiral.
The spiral is the bubbling cauldron.
The spiral is the curl of the wave.
The spiral is the lift of the wind.
The spiral is the whirlpool of water.
The spiral is the umbilical cord.
The spiral is the great serpent.
The spiral is the path of the earth.
The spiral is the twist of the helix.
The spiral is the spin of our galaxy. The spiral is the soft guts.
The spiral is the labyrinth.
The spiral is the womb-moon-tide mobius pull.
The spiral is your individual life.
The spiral is the passage between worlds: birth passing into death passing into birth.
The path of enlightenment is the spiral dance of bliss.

The symbol of the Wise Woman Tradition is a spiral.
Twelve is the number of established order.
One step beyond is thirteen, the wild card, the indivisible prime, the number of change.
Walk a spiral, you will inevitably come to the unique next step, the unknown, the thirteenth step, the opportunity for change, the window of transformation.
The thirteenth step creates the spiral.

Fascinating writings and photos. I feel as thought I’ve found a treasure trove. May your book write itself with love and ease.

This is the most interesting blog I have visited so far, for personal reasons. As I said before, I share the same interests – wolves, nature, legends. I’m a teacher and a Phytotherapist. I also started writing when I was twelve and published now a book that I wrote in my teenage years. I did a long research in American Indian and Wolf sites, when I was already in my thirties, to enrich my book and to make the information more accurate.I also had a kind of fear of showing my works to potentially unsensible eyes (I was afraid that people would laugh at me). I wanted to say, though, that I like your style of writing and that most probably I’ll love the themes you write about in your book. So, please, go on and publish it.

Silvia thank you so much for your kind words, what a boost for me to read them in my email..I am so chuffed yuo like my writing here and have similar interests.
I have just now manged t get back here to say thank you. I have visited your site quickly and will be returning to read more fully, but your book looks fascinating and I am definitely buying a copy..
I have a long list just now!
My book well its still in the process and has undergone changes and is no where near ready to be sent anywhere. I have to write around taking care of my elderly mother and she is not to well just now so everything goes on the back burner..
However when I get good feed back from people like your self, it give me incentive to keep going..I wonder sometimes if I can write.. If I have the stamina for a long project and the discipline to carry it through. Its a tough call. I am looking around for an online writing group as support, as I know it helps to share your stuff with other writers sometimes, or just read other peoples works in progress..I will see though, as sometimes the solitary way is best initially. I will look forward to getting to know you, and reading your book. Its wonderful to meet you..take care and thank you again..
